Starting Point for July 16, 2011

So I got quite a bit done yesterday.  It's really looking good.  However, my house needs to be disinfected and lots of laundry needs doing because my 7 year old son, Andrew, has a contagious rash.  So I'm not going to get much done on the stitching front the next few days.  I'm going to use it as a pamper mission every once in a while.  I'll get a bit done now...Here's the pics...

We have a start!!

So I've been busy stitching.  It doesn't look like much but two 10x10 squares takes me about 45 mins a piece.  Here's the updates...

Update Pictures for July 14, 2011

Starting Over

After much careful thought, I've come to the decision that I am going to go buy fabric of a bigger thread count and start over on this design.  I dunno if it's the needle I'm using or what but some of the stitches are so hard to push thru.  I even have a blister on my middle finger from it being so hard to push the needle through.  This is making this project seem not fun at all...So tomorrow I will be going to the craft store and purchasing a bigger fabric count and starting over.  I think it will look better anyways!  I will post progress pics here in a few.

More Progress

I could just shoot myself in the foot for choosing such a small fabric count.  Next time I will not be so impatient and I will get a bigger one in the right size to fit the design.  Never again!

Slow but steady

This is more slow going than others because of the constant color changing.  I might switch it up a bit and do one color for awhile then go back and do another color...not 10x10 square.
